What Have You Bought Today ?

Well, he did describe it as the worst song from the album, so its quite likely that he does think it sounRAB terrible within the album context. I haven't heard the album, but if what you're saying is true, that the first single was the worst song, then it might be another case of stupid record company ideas.

Sometimes it seems like they actively release weaker songs from albums, which is a ridiculous approach. Unsigned banRAB put their strongest songs on their demos and the main idea (as I understand it) behind record companies putting out singles (promoting the band and album) is almost the same. Why not release the best songs as singles every time?:banghead:

By the way, today I didn't buy any music at all. I bought a rail ticket, a black shirt, a pair of Hush Puppy shoes, a pair of silver and purple cufflinks and three identical sky-blue ties. There was a good, sensible reason for the last purchase. I explained this to the guy at the cash desk...he still looked baffled. Living in a city sometimes makes you feel like some kind of machine through which money flows. You work, it comes in, you spend, it goes out. If you use a card to pay for it all you never even see the money, all you do is redirect it. CRAYZEEEE...

That's how it always is. If you're a fan of a group, you get to hear the whole cd, which, by and large, is better than the choice for the single, which is chosen because of it's probability to appeal to the masses, i.e., the casual listener.

a perfect exapmle of this(from my generation), was Queen's 'Another One Bites the Dust'. Wildly popular, and the worst cut on the album.
