What has the US done to help Columbia with its drug cultivation, production...

We've given them hard US currency for their drugs. We've also made it illegal, which means the drug cartels can charge twenty times more for the same quantity, and make even more money. Imagine if we made sugar illegal, all the sugar cane growers would instantly become millionaires and live in mansions.

Money, military and police equipment has been sent...similar to Mexico situation. Needs a neutron bombing after getting all the bad eggs in one basket...so to speak. Armed intervention seldom works as in the Somali mess. Dropping bags of nearly stale free snack food would do much to feed the starving and decrease war lord power. A major cargo drop then neutron bombing might eliminate the foe.
