What has McCain accomplished that leads you to believe he can run this country?

While we are on the "what have you done for your country" bangwagon...

Name some accomplishments, prior to taking office, that any of our recent Presidents can claim... I think it is unjust to say someone hasn't accomplished much/anything prior to being President when they don't have much power to solely do anything prior to taking office. Senate can do a lot of great things...but as a team.

I guess I say this in defense of both canidates...
 
he singlehandedly built it from a few shacks in the desert to a booming metropolis, then tore it down and rebuilt it just for kicks. sim city style.
 
From what I understand McCain was a failure as a pilot, losing something like 5 planes, coming in almost last in the academy, and being an Admiral's son he got an easy treatment by the VC.
 
so a surrender monkey who threw up his hands at the first sight of trouble is a hero? Dude, all the guy did was fly planes against a country w/o an air force, dropping bombs on civilians, how exactly does that make him a hero?

There were thousands other people who did the same exact shit, thousands of other POWs, do they deserve to be president too?
 
I never said "hero" and I never said "deserves" to be President. I was making a reference to Kerry's service (per my post a little earlier).

Personally, I think Mccain is an abortion for a Presidential canidate...I don't think too highly of Obama either.
 
List Kerry's military accomplishments that ACTUALLY happened, not just when he was showing off for a camera...

Have you, or anyone you know been a POW? I assume not, or you wouldn't have made that stupid remark.
 
In all honesty, 8 years ago I was hoping he'd get the nomination because he hadn't flip-flopped on nearly every issue and was actually very good at reaching across the aisle as needed.

Fast forward 8 years and all the sudden he's turned into GWB v2
