I believe hip hop just good up beat music that many nationalities enjoy, i have never heard of racial tensions since the civil rights movements, A good question is what has lead black teenage cultures association with rock and techno?

Do you think Eminem has in large brought white teenagers into hip-hop? Personally I think there is a connection by the fact, white teenagers can identify with his skin color and like his rebel/crazy attitude.

But instead of eliminating racism, it appears to have created more racial tension.
Or could it possibly be because of the economically driven racial segregation has lead to a curiousity about a different culture. Like your interested in things that seem foreign to your notion of reality.
