What has gone on recently (military wise) in South Asia?

for instance has there been any military activity..do not include japan, china, korea..this is south asia we're talking about....please help!!!
russia is not included in south asia that we studied in class for some reason...who knows why


but you can include whats going on in sri lanka and thailand

whatever that may be..lol
