...Boss 1600 watt amp? I have a Pioneer GM-5300T 2-Channel 760-Watt Maximum Power Amplifier pushing two 12' P1's that I have but some dude told me a BOSS AUDIO 2 CHANNEL 1600 WATT MOSFET AMPLIFIER would push it even better. Which one would you recommend, keeping the one i have or taking the boss amp. Also if you can think of an amp that would do this much for equal or lesser value feel free to suggest.
 
Each P1 can handle 500rms.
The PIONEER can only push 170rms x 2 @ 2ohms.
So your speakers are only putting out half of there true potential.

If this is the amp you are looking at it says it puts out 300rms x 2 @ 2ohms.
So that would be better, you have dual voice coils that you can wire down to 2 ohms on each sub. Then hook one sub to left channel and the other to the right.
This may keep the Boss from over heating and shutting off.

I don't want to bash a amp that I have never used but, Boss has had quality issues in the past.
I have owned the 760 before and it is a pretty good amp for 1- 4ohm sub.
 
Pioneer has a better reputation than Boss does. There are a lot of better amps out there. If you want something good, go with Hifonics, Kicker, Rockford Fosgate, etc. Try to get one that's CEA-2006 Compliant. Good Luck!
