Some terrible contractors hung drywall in my bedroom. They used EZ-20 joint compound, which is supposed to dry in 20 minutes, but they didn't even wait the 20 minutes and painted over it. That was a month ago, and my bedroom still smells like wet plaster. I'm toxic-sensitive, so I'm waking up with low-grade irritation in my sinuses and throat. Will this wet compound ever dry out under the paint? How harmful is it to breathe that odor every night? What can be done now? Thanks.
