first you need to go to a garage make it fixed so then wont let u down in motorway, but once u get ur new car u'd need to insure that new car, because insurance policy doesn't cover for 2 cars specially when both cars are in ur name, if one of the cars is not on ur name and your fully comp then ur ok to drive both of them

geez get a job and stop whingeing and if the car isnt good enough save up for another one. OF COURSE she isnt going to pay for ur petrol and repairs WHY WOULD SHE she gave the car to you now its YOURS not hers to pay for...omg seriously

I passed my driving test over 2 months ago and I love it, but the car that my aunt is giving me (as a proposed act of kindness) has 121,000 miles on it, the clutch is going, the silencer has fallen off and it refuses to start up sometimes. So yea, it's nearing it's last days.

She is paying for my car insurance today (and I am honestly thankful for that) but she says once the car is mine she's not having any more to do with it, she's not paying a single penny towards repairs or petrol.

I don't want to have the car break down on the motorway or spend half of my final year at uni struggling with it. Now it's a nice car, it's a silver Vauxwhagon Golf but it's not going to last much longer. I have £13,000 in the bank (from my mum's death) but she guilt trips me beyond belief when I want to use that money. If I do get so fed up though that I buy a new car before my insurance expires on the golf I currently own, what will happen when I want to insure the new car?
