help please, I had change my car oil but it's standard oil type 5W/30 and I had put 20W/50 because of the high temperature weather.
Did I made I big mistake or it's neccary for a high temperature?
Note: My car type SUZUKI XL7 3.6 V6 Engine & Nissan Pathfinder 4 V6 Engine.

Thanks4all

Time out !! did you use 20w/03 OR 20/50?? That makes a big difference.

Both 20w30 and 5w30 are both 30 grade oil during normal operating engine temp. The 20w and 5w only matter in freezing weather.

BUT if you put in 20w50 FORGET IT. That is WAY too heavy.

ALWAYS just stick with the factory recommendation. They have ENGINEERS !!

Go change the oil now. It only cost $20. Do it now - not even next week.

Here's some info (more than you ever wanted to know)

Good luck...
