What happens if you wait to long to take the driving test?

Hi, im asking this question for my older bro since hes to lazy to make an account aand he wanted to knowthat even though he took his written drivers ed test in november and hasnt gone to take the driving test will he have to take written 1 again in march when he goes to take the driving test. (He got to pick any time he wanted to go to take the test)

P.s. he will be 16 on thursday if that helps you to answer this question.
