What happens if my Fish doesn't move?

What kind of fish?
Different fish behave different ways.

If the behavior isn't "normal" for your fish,then test the water quality.
Ammonia 0/nitrite 0/nitrate <10... water change accordingly to get there/stay there.
 
Your fish is most likely resting. Also the breed of fish should tell you the amount of activity to be expected. some breeds of fish are just a lot less active than others. Especially betta fish kept in bowls. Just continue to moniter its respiration (breathing or movement of gills) and its food consumption. if something is out of place, such as they arent breathing normaly (too fast or seems labored) or arent eating, then come back and ask, giviing a good description of the fish and its troubles. I think your fish is fine.
 
well as I just saw, its getting ready to die, my tiger barb is dying as I type and well, there is nothing to do, I am going to eat it when it dies.
 
it could be stressed out if the water conditions aren't too good, or if you've had it a while, it might be old, when they know they are going to die they sit at the bottom and wait. i'd test the water first and dont poke him or tap the glass, if he is dying,then at least give him a peaceful death. then if you do see the conditions are out of the ordinary, do water changes and make the weird levels of stuff right, soz im rushing this lolage.
if ur water is fine then he may die, hopefully he's just resting though

first of all what sort of fish is it? as different fish behaves differently from each other. if its a gold fish, then i guess its ok as gold fish do take a rest very often usually at the bottom of the tank and when they do, they stay very still for few minutes.

I've seen some of my fish do that too, it might just be sleeping. But most likely it is sick,and maybe getting ready to die. Sometimes the fish will just snap out of it though, you may have to just wait it out and see what happens :/
