make shure he knows his surroundings and taritories be for you leave him out side for the first few days go with him make shure he doesn'tt go to far from home or you. then just let him outside for a hour or 2 on his own try bumping it up an hourever day. let him walk out the Door cause they have sent glan in there feet he will smell his way back from the sent trail. but call him back with a smelly fish " not raw" he can get salmonella. and try calling hes name. do this for 3 weeks be for letting him sleep outside

I was just wondering because I was studying my cats behaviour. He tends to go out in the back yard to chill but it's closed off. So I was curious as to what would happen if I say, took him outside in a wide open space (not that i'm going to or ever plan to). Kind of been bothering me to be honest. But yeah, what would his reaction be?

He is a 14 year old male around 18-20 lbs

And no i am seriously not going to put him outside.

if he's an indoor cat all his life, and he's suddenly put outdoor with no enclosure, his wild side will take over. cats have never been domesticated, so the wild side will take over. he doesn't want to be caught, so if you approach him, he'll start hissing, scratching, biting, etc. he's sending you a message to stay away.
