Im 13, and a size AA bra.Th this summer i'm going to camp for 2 weeks. My friend, who is just as developped as I am got her period last week, and im worried that mine might be on the way.. i dont know if I have discharge, but i sometimes find small dried white spots on my panties, and sometimes white cream cheese consistency paste ish thing on the toilet paper when I wipe. Im really worried that Im going to get my period at camp, but this is an outdoor camp by a lake, where we do water activities. I think I would be ok wearing a pad, but I cant wear one in the water. And ive never put in a tampon (as i havn't had my period yet), and i wouldnt even have the supplies at camp! what can i do???

The best thing you can do is be prepared. Bring pads, tampons, and panty liners with you just in case. You can never be too careful these days. It would be so embarrassing if you had to go to the camp director or to a friend saying that you just started your period and you need to get some pads or tampons ... yipes.

Wow, that sounds like a tough situation to get yourself out of, but all I can really say is be prepared. Just bring with you pads and tampons and if you do end up getting your period and aren't comfortable using a tampon (which is completely normal), than talk to someone into getting out of participating in water related activities. Good luck!

dont be set at it happening at camp. that white stuff is discharge that starts usually about 3-10 months before your first period, and then never ends. I would bring some tampons (in slimmest size possible, brand Tampax Pearl is the best) and some pads just in case, but i REALLLLYYYYY doubt they wouldnt have some there already with the first aid. don't worry yet--wory about it when it happens. make sure you have someone there you can tell tho just in case.

Talk to your mom or another adult before you go. If your that worried just bring pads and tampons for backup. Inserting a tampon is not as hard as you think. Im sure you will be fine. If you do get your period use pads until you go in the lake or other water activities, then try using a slender or Jr tampon ( they are the smallest ones made). Is there a way to call your mom at camp if you do get it so she can give you some"support" from home? Just be prepared with pads tampons and some pain killers just in case.

HaveFunn at camp : )
