What happens if I don't pay my Fido bill but my contract is under someone else's account?

Okay so I wasn't old enough to sign a 3 year contract so I had it under my friends name, but what happens if I can't pay the bill even though I'm above the age of 19 now? Would I take the blame if I choose not to take the contract off his account? Pretty sure if its under his account, its his responsibility. Let me know with some sort of valid proof or a reliable reference. Thanks readers
