What happens if GM and Chrysler go bankrupt??........?

My question is simple. If GM and Chrysler declare bankruptcy, do they still have to pay tax payers back the billions in loans that we were "forced" to give them? If not was it worth it? Paying out all those billions to let GM and Chrysler stay alive for a couple more months.
 
You wont have to buy crappy cars anymore, corporations and banks are dropping like flies along with all the crooked investment deals. What happens is purely speculative, but to some degree people with no jobs and no homes have few choices. Beware of the Zombies, were giving these boys chemo therapy to keep the malignance at bay, probably nothing more. Look up Japans lost decade and property speculations in history. Looks bad and we dont even know whos dead yet, their still cooking the books im sure. 2010 will probably suck!
