Also can your parents live with you at the post after basic training?
Also do you choose what post you stay in, if not then what post are for infantry?

Your basic training and infantry training are rolled into one. You do OSUT---one stop unit training.

During your OSUT you will get orders on where you will be stationed. If you are single you will live in the barracks.

If you are married you can apply for on post housing. For your parents to live with you it will take some documentation proving you provide at least 51% of their support.

You don't get to pick you fill out a dream sheet.

Your parents can't live with you unless they are your dependents (that means you are fully financially supporting them, not just sending a check every month.)

no your parents cant live with you, only way i think is if you claim them as dependents which you would have to prove and the army will assign you a post. you will have orders to report to your unit immediately after basic or airborne school/rip if its in your contract. There are many posts you may end up at. it may not even be in the us.

They give you a gun and send you out to bring Freedom, Democracy and The American Way to the rest of the World.
