What happens after Marine Boot Camp?

I have a friend who's going into Marine boot camp probably in six months. When he gets done with that, how long and often will he be home? I really don't like the idea of him going, but he'll be happy. Can anyone help?
 
After boot he'll be home for 10 days of leave. Then he will go on to MCT and his MOS (job) training. After that, he will be home when he accumulates leave. It really just varies. Most of my friends who were in the military went home for a week or two each year. Sometimes all in one block, sometimes split up between a couple of visits.
 
I believe that directly after boot camp, marines go to another "boot camp" for their specific job they signed for.. This is more of a intellectual boot camp..
