What happens after beating the game in Final Fantasy X?

After beating Sin can you still go around and finish other things? I would also like to know if you can get the secret aeons and weapons after beating the game.
 
No, it's not open-ended like Fable where you can keep running around after the finale... if you want to go after the "bonus" features in the game you should do it before the last boss. However, I think it's worth it - the final battle seems like a cakewalk after dealing with the tough dungeons and all, but it extends the gameplay for sure. : )
 
All freeroaming is done when you unlock the battle to sin.

This includes getting all the extra aeons and celestial weapons.
