What Happens After Army AIT?

My husband recently joined the Army, however he did not have to go through basic training because he is a prior Marine. I know, sounds crazy a prior Marine joining the Army. Anyway... he is in signal school right now in Georgia. His last day of school is on the 21st and we are being stationed at Ft Bragg. I was just wondering if anyone has any idea when he will be able to come home after his school is over? I am in MI right now and we have to drive all the way across the country to Washington state and then all the way back to NC with our belongings, so I am trying to figure things out and be prepared. I know that it's all up to the army and we can't know anything for sure, but just curious... Thanks

Normally Soldier can take what's called Transitional Leave or PCS Leave. When this happens the Soldier can take leave to get things in order for the move to the new duty station and also to prepare the familey for it. What he should do is request PCS leave by submitting a DA FORM 31 to his S1 or PSB. They will process it and he will sign out on leave and sign in to his new unit at the new duty station.
