What happened to the healthy debate Pres. 0bama promised?

Why is it that anyone who disagrees with him he attacks? It's funny to see the Dems. condemn Republicans. Last I thought that the Democrats were the majority! They do not need a single Republican Vote on anything.

I think the 'healthy debate' got drowned in the Republicans' ambition of giving the President his 'Waterloo'...

Obama can't take a failure at this time on this Universal Health Plan
Clinton had his run in his first term and he lost miserable

Obama can't afford to lose~his pride won't take another failure

I think it is beyond sinful and definitely squashing freedom of speech when our president has his peeps edit and control all of the "off the cuff" questions that are asked in the press conferences.

For the record, anyone who doesn't have a problem with that has got a problem and they need to read.

Pimping a pitt to make you look good at a press conference is not okay.

The Republicans have stayed on the attack since he was elected. Now when Obama is fighting back, he is playing dirty? This is typical Republican SMEAR, no basis in fact, just try to make him look bad in any way possible.

Countess, Countess, Countess: You still don't get it. To repeat, The Democrats do not, repeat, do not, need any republican votes to pass anything. If they want a healthy debate (one where there is a realistic discussion of issues and concerns held by both sides) they should set up the environment in which a debate could be had. That is if they want one. The reason no proper environment has been set up for a healthy debate is they don't want one. They want to shove the bill through congress like they did the stimulus bill. That is not how congress is supposed to operate. Voters need to keep this in mind in 2010. If we can't have a congress that debates they need to go. Where was the debate before? Are there any plans for any debates in the future? We are all looking but we don't see any sign of it. If you are worried about Obama's waterloo that already happened. Here is a quote from Gallup.

Almost 6 in 10 Americans (59%) view President Obama’s proposals to address the major problems facing the country as involving too much government spending, and 52% view the proposals as involving too much expansion of government power.

This is something that is not going to go away. This will be Obama's legacy.

Obama is the reincarnation of Lenin.

That sword swings both ways sweetie.

Perhaps you should tune in now and listen to President Obama.

On Friday, GOP Senator Jim DeMint told a special-interest attack group that if they're "able to stop Obama on this, it will be his Waterloo. It will break him." And just this morning, Republican Chairman Michael Steele backed up DeMint's statement 100%. At the same time, the Republican National Committee is running deceptive ads to scare Americans away from the reform we need.

Health debates do not exist whenever republicans are involved.

Aren't we having that?
"Why is it that anyone who disagrees with him he attacks?"...this is a lie you've posted over and over. Why is it the Right can attack and disagree with Obama all they like but if he disagrees in the slightest, the Right whine?

A debate consists of airing both sides...not just the one YOU like.
