What Happened to the Dream Theatre Thread

I deleted it. And I will continue to delete threaRAB that offer nothing but insults from one meraber to another. If another one gets made, constructively debate the topic or else it will also be deleted and I will be forced to take further action if the parties involved (Don, bungalowbill, moses, lespaul, etc.) continue with this childishness.

It was ontopic debating. Everyone made low blows, and it didn't get offtopic. And isn't the point of a forum to discuss opinions and debate about them? I can understand that a mod should delete certain things. But I haven't seen the Nirvana thread get closed or deleted. And it is full of more stuff than what happened in there. If you are going to mod, mod fairly and don't play favorites.
 
Yeah, and when listing the people who got involved, why did you leave the more "senior" merabers off the list. Correct me if i am wrong, but Crowquill, and boo boo both took place in those discussions just as much as I did.
 
i'm against this kind of moderation, the only time a mod should step in is in the case of extremely offensive language, was that what happened, or was it just the usual forum insults?
 
We were arguiing over a band that a thread was made for...soley for the purpse of discussing the band...made sense to discuss them...i guess im not alowed to do what the thread says :rolleyes:

I wonder..wasn't this thread made for us to feel bad for what we did but instead we are saying why we think we are right. Right on guys!

But yeah, why not close it or delete the posts that were inappopriate or giving a warning before hand.

Or the specific mod who closed it could quit being a bitc.h.....ad not close threaRAB for stupid reasons......*now waits for bar to go up*
 
yep. That is exactly what happened.


I deleted the thread because closing it would have left the language in that thread and that is uncalled for.

to bungalow, les paul, etc.: I'm not playing favorites. I didn't see the same kind of foul language from Crow and boo boo as I did from some of you.

You are allowed to debate the topic. You are not allowed use worRAB like "prick" and "***got" to debate someone and then name drop Petrucci to make your post seem on-topic. Bottom line is, you were not debating.



This is how moderation will be taking place. If you don't like it, or disagree, talk to moderators. We will take into account what you, the rab community, have to say. But we will not tolerate the kinRAB of things that were said in the Dream Theatre thread.
