What happened to my Volume Control?!?

Okay. Had had these speakers and one day they stopped working I went to the Start menu clicked Accessories then Entertainment then Volume Control but they said: There are no mixer devices available. To install blah blah and all that jazz.So I got new speakers after the others officially broke. I installed them just like they said but they say the same thing. I did everything I [a 13 year old] could think of but my volume control is still not there. Please help me bring it back...I miss my precious music...
 
if you have windows go to start>control panel>Hardware and Sound>under devices and printers TEXT there should be a device manager option click that > then go to your sound driver in sound, video and game controllers drop down menu >click your sound device >then uninstall and reinstal your sound driver
