What happened to my nokia 5800 xpress music? plz help!!!?

i know what type of problem you have you dont know where is the phone memory stored it is busy memory and you can free it by formatting
after formatting u r not able to use the newly installed application on your memory card you want to reinstall the same but definitely your problem get solved
what you have to do?
1.you have to remove memory card.
2.switch off the phone
3.in off condition press star button(*) three (3) call button at atime and then press switch on button press them at a time till your phone starts as if your phone is restarted it ask for the region
if it is so select the region and your phone is formatted if there is no selection of region on start up your phone is not formatted yet

I really cant figure out what happened to it
actually i was downloading stuff from my pc my mobile was connected to pc via mass storage and i was downloading into it
Suddenly the phone memory became low to critical level cant figure out what happened why it suddenly became low as i was downloading into memory card not using phone memory for downloading
and when i went in to see phone memory through file manager there is nothing too big in it to delete
plz help what has happened to it
what shall i do?
