What Gyno's test for to see if you can get pregnant?

A few years ago I had some general testing done by my GYNO .. good cholesterol bad cholesterol thyroid blood sugar and something to check to see if im able to get pregnant.. i cant remember what they were checking for .. when the nurse was telling me my results she said" hmm, this is odd are you having difficulties getting preganant or are your nipples producing fluids"

Any ideas what they were checking for I thought it started with an M .. not sure though!
