What gym routine is best for me?

im quite a bit overweight (in my opinion anyway) i'm 6"3, weighing in at 13 and a bit stone (189 lbs/ 86 kgs) and i'd like to burn my excess fat whilst also building up some muscle. I've recently joined a gym as well as going to karate once a week. i've just been alternating between the treadmill (around 20 minutes at a time), x-trainer (another 20 mins), rower (10 minutes) and exercises bike(10 mins as well) as well as the resistance weight machine things. can any of you see where im going wrong, what else i should be doing.
