what gets melted styrofoam off a ceramic top frying pan?

i set a styrofoam plate on top of a big ceramic electric fryer i have and was not thinking about it melting so it melted. i got the plate off but it left some hard styrofoam still on it and its really hard. i need to know a way to get it off without scratching the pan to much
