The car is a VW Golf 5, 2.0 TDI BKD engine, 6+1 SP Manual Gearbox.
I have installed a sports clutch and a single mass flywheel recently (SACHS Performance kit) and I got this very annoying, very loud, rattling noise ever since. Some mechanics told me that it is coming from the gearbox, and the only solution they could think of is that I should try using a more viscid gearbox oil.
I'm asking this here hoping to get answers or tips from people who had a similar problem in the past (diesel engine + sports clutch + noise) or from experienced engineers.
