Hello,
I have applied and been accepted to Stephen F. Austin State University which is in Texas. I put their school code on the lists of codes to receive my financial aid last week. Note: I completed my FAFSA in January, at that time I was not considering SFA but due to some things, I changed my mind and decided to attend, which is why I just now put their code on my list. I was reading up on some other questions that were asked about financial aid, and I see that sometimes the school asks you to verify your information that you provided on the FAFSA. I was wondering, what exactly are the forms, so just in case they ask me to verify, I can already have them handy, and hopefully that will make the process quicker. Also, I noticed that on my SAR it says that my EFC is 05973, and with that I wanted to know if anyone knows, the amount of financial aid that I could expect. I already know I am not eligible for a Pell Grant, but I hopefully qualify for some kind of other assistance. [EXAMPLES WOULD BE GREAT] Last but not least, how long would it take for my school to receive my financial aid results? The SAR says they were processed on 06/16/09. Also, my mother has yet to put the amount of money that she received this year in income tax check, so would that delay the process any? Can I expect all of this financial aid business to be completed by the first day of school which is 08/31/09.
