A varied diet is essential for health and it's nice to see a fishkeeper feeding their fish on such a diet. If the fish are large enough then they can have pellets, however small fish may struggle with them. Also some frozen (or live if you can get them) foods such as daphnia and brineshrimp would be ideal.
