What fishing line is best?

Maybe you are not winding the line on your reel properly. This will cause all kinds of problems. Check that first before changing lines. The line on a spool has taken a set. Go against this set and you have trouble.

I've been a pretty dedicated bass fisherman as of late. And I've been having trouble with the line i use, for example, twisting, getting caught in my reel, tangles... etc. What is the best line i can buy where i wont experience these problems. Any other tips and tricks are appreciated. Thanks.

yea sounds like you spooled your reel wrong. I wouldn't worry about the line too much, as long as it pretty new and its not a generic brand you should be ok. Also it could be too much on your spool. It should be around a 1/8 to 3/16 of an inch off the edge of your spool. take whatever line you have on there now off, get some new line( whatever brand you want, they all work fine) lay the line on the floor, sticker side to you, thread the line threw your pole, etc. my point here is that the new spool of line is adjacent to your rod tip. This method has been working for me a long time with no problems.

Make sure you are keeping the line taught. While reeling in the line, hold the line in between your fingers to keep it tight. If this doesn't work then I think it is time to invest in some new line that isn't cheap. Good luck fishin'!
