What fish would you recommend for a 100 gallon community tape?

i am planning to one day get a 100 gallon freshwater community tank. i just want to know what types of fish can live peacefully together and how many freshwater species i can keep. thanks. =]

please read everything, any ignorant posts have no chance at best answer. =] thanks.
 
A huge school of Rainbowfish would look amazing in a 100 gallong tank. That's what Im planning to do at least. Have you seen the different species of Rainbows? There's the Boesmanis which are half yellow and half blue, there are also the Madagascar Rainbowfish which are red yellow and green I think. There are tons of fish you can do. There are also the Dwarf Neon Rainbowifsh. Their turqouise color is amazing and the red fin is awesome.

You can also have a colony of Shelldwelling or Mouthbrooding cichlids.

A school of Altum angelfis or Black angels in a planted aquarium would look SWEETT!. :)
 
WOW thats a big tank and you could either have loads of little-medium fish or a few large fish, depending on what you prefer, but i would advise a nice LARGE school of tetra

- black phantoms
