what fish should i put in my tank?

there is a jewel ciclid a fire mouth a foreline cat and a pleco all in a 46 gallon tank

Im don't know much about cichlids but I know they can get aggressive. I would remove the pleco and add pair of angelfish if you cichlids aren't aggresive.

Yeah the pleco gets big. Maybe you should go for a variety of different dwarf cichlids. That looks good and a planted tank.

I love jewel cichlids. I don't know which one you have though Hemichromis Liffali is my favorite. I also enjoy the firemouths. I would dump the plecostomous, add some caves and rockwork to the bottom and make the jewels or firemouths a trio of 1 male and 2 females though you can't do this w/ both of them because you can't allow 2 fish to be breeding in a tank this size at the same time. It's just not big enough. BTW: make the secure rockwork in opposite back corners so the potential pair will most likely pick one of these sites.
