What fish should I get for my 5 gallon?

I was thinking dwarf puffers, but most people say no?? I might consider a betta, but personally, I think they are boring, and I HAVE had them before, and they WERE healthy. I do plan on getting ghost shrimp. No platies, no white clouds, no guppies. Thanks.

I personally like ornamental goldfish, there are some really cool looking varieties around, I like black moors and shubunkins. As long as you buy them small enough they should fit in a 5 gallon and are very easy to take care of. (aka Hard to kill ;)

You could get a Dwarf Puffer if you wanted to, but they're sort of hard to care for.

But other than that and a Betta, there's nothing else you can put in there.

If there's a filter and heater (which all fish tanks should have...) then you can have 1-2 African Dwarf Frogs.

EDIT: NO Goldfish at all. They grow way too big for a 5 gallon tank.

well a 5 gallon tank is not really suitable for anything BUT a betta. i would start out with at least a 10 gallon. but if all you can afford is a 5 gallon and you dont want a betta you could get one or two fish that only grow to be an inch or an inch and a half long. ask you pet store which fish these would be.
