a female betta requires very little care and you can put more than one female betta in a small 1 gallon tank. use solid food blocks instead of flake food. the block food doesn't cloud the tank as flake foods do they dissolve slowly as the fish feed on them so they keep the tank cleaner.

I would like to get my little girl a fish. She is only 4 years old and this is her first pet.So she would be sad if her fish died in 2 days.I would like to know if there is a good fish that wont die right away.

betta fish are always good. but ive been told not to get filters for bettas cuz they can get stuck in them. but i have had 3 different betta fish that lived for a few years. and bettas are really easy to care for. just feed them and change the tank water every few days.

A betta can last up to 5-7 years and some time10. they need at least 5 gal. a heater and filter, water conditioner, net, gravel, silk/real plants(never plastic can tare sensitive fins on them)

I would say a betta. They are very easy to take care of and most people I know who have nvr had a fish befor have a betta. My brother has had his for about 5 years and he nvr really takes good care of it. Other fish need a lot of care and experiance

Depends on the tank:

Small: goldfish size
Medium: little, baby shark size
Large: 10 or more goldfish size/3-4 little, baby sharks

Hope that helps!

No fish would die right away if they are properly cared for. Most people set themselves up for failure because they do no research prior to purchase. You are going about this the right way asking questions beforehand and giving yourself the best chance of success.

What you need to think about is how much time, money, and space do I have to devote to this fish?

All aquariums need to be maintained weekly by performing weekly water changes of about 25%

The simplest set up would be to buy a 2.5-5 gallon aquarium, a gentle filter, and an aquarium heater for a single male Betta.

What I would do is something simple-
A ten gallon aquarium is large enough so that it can't be knocked over accidentally, and gives you more options on what fish to buy.
