What fish have... Charicter?

I really want to add another type of fish into my tank. I don't like danios and tetras, because they don't seem to really be... "alive". I have a betta and he has lots of charicter, he has certain habbits, and it fun to watch him! I also have 3 cory cats, as they are active and all have thier own thing going on. I have a semi-planted ten gallon filtered heated lighted tank and was wondering what other lone (possibly schooling) fish would work in my tank. Any ideas? And whats your favorite type of fish?
Well Vulcan I'm sorry I'm not an old grammer snot without friends. I'm on summer break and I'm just a kid!

They just hover around the tank in a clump. They don't stop to nibble on a plant, they all look identical. Nothing specail, no indiviual personalities or anything! I am looking for a fish like a betta or a plecco that acts different and special. Seriously chill out!

It is spelled "character" and one of the many words you misspelled. Was spell check not an option for you?

Danios and tetras are active fish, in what way are they not "alive"?

Personally I keep a school of harlequin rasboras with my male betta in a ten gallon tank.

i like cichlids, so for a 10G tank, you would only be able to get rams (eg. blue rams) they are very cool fish, but im not sure if the would get along with a betta, check this site :http://www.tropicalfishandaquariums.com/Compatibility/index.php,this site only says that fish that are go well together 100% of the time, so it wont say yes if there is a 50/50 chance, so it does seem very limiting. you could probably fit 2 rams in ur tank.
