hi,what type of fish will kill a convict cichlid?and what type of fish will they just fight with?also can they be put with african mbuna cichlids like electric yellow cichlids and red zebras?
Depends, I know some convicts wer hidden in an old heavy decorated tank where I couldnt get them out, so I put my electric blue ahli in thier without eating for a few days.
never should a convict be put with a african cichlid convicts will kill the africans. many fish can kill a convict cichlid and a convict can kill a parhana. alone a parhana is defenseless it is with a group is when they can kill. oscars can kill a convict and many other fish can also kill them. convicts will just fight with green terrors jack dempsys and other central american cichlids.
larger convicts, lol. They should be ok together, as long as they are the same size. Putting them in the tank at the same time will also help with the territorial behaviors they have. Size is most important.
