I have 1 betta fish , 10 guppy, 4 tetras and a red tailed shark (baby 2inches)

They have lived together fine for a couple of weeks now I wake up this morning and 1 guppy and 1 tetra are dead their tails have been taken off and 2 other guppy and 1 neon tetra have bites in the tails.....

I have not seen any of the offenders in the act so who it doing what???

Could it be the betta? although I have been watching him and he is fine with them or tetra and neon fighting? I find it hard to believe that the betta would attack the neons I have always had a betta with neons and no trouble at all.

I have heard about the betta and guppy thing already but have always had them together and set up this tank over a month ago.

The last one it could be is the shark - anyone had this happen to them

I fu put to male Betta is a pond together they will fight to the death so the only thing that sounds right to me would be the Betta
Just to find out put a Betta with a a tetra and see what happens and find our what fish to isolate

do you realised how big those red tailed sharks get? they are also notoriously aggressive. i think he is probably the culprit. you need to go to a better fish shop who will tell you whether the fish you buy will kill all the others in the tank.
