What films make you cry?

I don't cry ever because I am a man.

....if I did though, it would probably be over Beaches or The Champ. I may even have shed a tear when Molly moves that coin up the door in Ghost, if I were a lesser man.

Oh that always gets me sobbing....

Officer and a Gentleman has always made me blub as well.

Pretty much anything can make me cry really. I remember the first time I cried at a film was Mary Poppins.

I teach a visual literacy unit where we study Whalerider. That's a real weepie too...I cry every time...in front of my Year 9 class too!

World Trade Center is the only movie i've felt sad at. The saddest bit was a few minutes after we see the flashback of the guy (who is stuck under the tower after the collapse) and his wife deciding what to call their unborn baby and she wants "Aleesha" so then it goes back to him stuck in his hole and he calls out to the chief fireman to put a message out over the emergency service radio saying he loves his wife and he wishes for his daughter to be named Aleesha.

The end of Abigail's Party is very sad as well, and the end of a Taste of Honey too.
I watched the Godfather of Disco recently and there's a little bit in that that made me want to weep!

Try watching Funny Games (the Danish original or the upcoming remake by the same director).

It's the movie equivalent of being punched in the face for 2 hours.

:D

Is there more than one version of Goodnight Mr Tom? The only one I have seen is the one with John Thaw....his accent made me cry but that was about it....
