Are there films that you like to watch over and over, that you never tire of, that you stick on for 'background' like a favourite CD? Ok, call me weird but here is my list (all of which I must have seen nearly 100 times - yeah, I know - weirdo!)

Rosemary's Baby
Invasion of The Body Snatchers (original)
Amatuer (Hal Hartley at his best)
Rear Window
Blair Witch Project (I did say I'm weird!)
Smoke (and I get teary every time - what a wussy weirdo!)
The Stepford Wives (original)
A Place in the Sun
The Silence of the Lambs
Star Trek First Contact
Night of the Hunter
Donnie Darko
Raiders of The Lost Ark
Hannah and her Sisters
An American Werewolf in London

There - thats all I'm prepared to admit to...

~ Any of my Christian Slater movies ( i have about 20 )
~ My Own Private Idaho
~ Edward ScissorhanRAB
~ Cruel Intentions

~ Dream a little Dream
~ Any Disney Movie

~ aaaaaand i know theyre not movies but my 'Ally McBeal' 'Dawsons Creek' and 'FrienRAB' DVRAB..

and goRAB knows how many more.. i just cant remember!

TakeDown aka Track Down :)

its my fave movie of all time, but tbh most of my dvRAB i watch over and over again as thats they reason i got them ;)

The Deer Hunter
Dagon
Kill Bill vol. 2
The Lost Boys
Irreversible
The Cook, The Thief, His Wife and her Lover
Family Guy/Futurama/Simpsons

And although I like to think of myself as a fairly knowledgable and cool film viewer, I have an unhealthy obsession with Carlista Flockhart and Portia De Rossi (Is that even her name?), so I picked up all the Ally McBeal DVD's on the cheap, and I do have them on in the background quite often.

i love having films on as background and recent ones that have been on a loop are

dirty dancing
donnie darko
24 hour party people
alfie
the breakfast club
pretty in pink
about last night
the karen carpenter story

or a tv series like "sex and the city" or "i love the 80's"

The shawshank redemption
Snatch

Cruel intentions

Blazing Saddles
Airplane

Life of Brian
Dumb & Dumber
Exorcist
One Flew over the cuckoos nest
Trainspotting
Fight Club
Shrek
Toy Story
Evil Dead
Psycho
Poltergeist
Matrix
Alien
Finding Nemo

oooh nooo - I can't bare having a film on in the background! I believe in the 'cinema experience' you know, lights off, no talking - and NEVER stopping the film half way through. It's only respectful  ;)

But as to films I've seen too many times - Ferris Bueller and What's up doc (fab film)

LOTR trilogy
Star Wars trilogy
Godfather I and II
Dead Poets Society
Uncle Buck
Ferris Bueller's Day Off
The Man Who Fell to Earth
The Hunger
Interview with the Vampire
Labyrinth
Terminator I and II
Arlington Road

Most of my films. Though if I am working and need something background on it will be disney, as it doesnt distract me to watch it as i know it so well!

scum
quadrophenia
goodfellas
midnight express
kingpin
silence of the lambs
clockwork orange
texas chainsaw massacre
dirty harry
halloween
life of Brian
