What Film Really effected you after u watched it?

I'd agree with many of the films mentioned already (the ones I've seen, that is).

Some oldies that were memorable:

Midnight Cowboy
The Marathon Man
Rain Man
Straw Dogs
The Graduate......in fact most Dustin Hoffman movies..he's brilliant!

The Russian roulette scene in The DeerHunter. (It still haunts me).

Some of the old horrors like The Exorcist, Carrie (the ending), Sliver (yuck), The Witch (it had another name)...gosh there's so many.

Lately...Wolfcreek, Hotel Rwanda, The Constant Gardener, Exorcism of Emily Rose (I couldn't sleep after seeing this). The Ring (the Japanese version...very creepy). and of course Hostel (leaves you thinking you won't want to backpack...mind you Wolfcreek should end all thoughts of ever backpacking anywhere)

Hi there y'all. New to this forum. I have to say that personally, I think ''The English Patient'' for me. I went around in a daze for days after watching it. I couldn't belive it, good money spent on such total drivel. And it was extra long too! Or did it just seem to go on forever?

Farenheit 9/11. The image of George Bush just sitting there doing nothing when he was told about the World Trade Centre attacks, the Iraqi holding up his dead baby after an American bombing and images of two American soldiers burnt bodies being strung up. Thought about things I hadn't thought of before.
Bowling for Columbine was thought provoking too.

Obvious one but no-ones mentioned it...

JAWS!

To this very day I cannot swim in the sea or even a swimming pool without imagining, no, not imagining, knowing that there is a huge great white shark just behind me and swimming straight for me and about to get me...

Its called selachophobia (fear of sharks) although in terms of phobias its quite a sensible one to have (maybe not pool-selachophobia though).

PS Could I just suggest that if people are talking about the endings of films and giving away the endings they put it in spoilers as there are a couple of posts here that have just ruined films for me that I havent seen yet
