What film most disappointed you?

Does it count for films due out soon.

The reason for this is that I think I'm going to be disppointed with AvP. :(

Both Alien (1 and 2) and Predator 1 are fantastic films. Both were 18 certificates, lots of gore etc.

However I bet AvP will be a 12, aimed at a mass audience  I can see a T3 happening again.

As for films already out, I would have to say that The Ring (not the US version) was very unscary and very disappointing. Not seen the US version yet though

lol that just made me think of a show called SPACED a charter in it called tim hated Jar Jar Binks anyway sorry back to the point star wars episode one was as huge disappointment  what a waste

must point out that it does take a lot to scare me and I also worked out the twist to sixth sense within the 1st few minutes of the film as well - which my husband couldn't believe

Didn't think much of Terminator 3 to be honest.

Also any Police Academy movie from 3 onwarRAB!

In terms of a remake that was outsdtandingly bad compared to the original my vote would go to The Taking Of Pelham 123.

Biggest disappointment this year was an anime movie called akira...i had been told to watch it by everyone i knew...and it is often referred to as the 'greatest anime movie of all time'...i found it boring and lacking in a good storyline...but i did love spiderman 2 and the time machine remake though...

Perfect Blue was also a disappointing anime for me. Everyone was going on how supenseful and thrilling it was; but I found it a bit lackluster. I guess I just didn't get it...

Harry Potter and the Phliosopher's Stone. After all the hype, it was just a load of bollocks! The last 2 films haven't disapointed though.

Easy one... Matrix 3... Terrible terrible film. Ill thought out, badly conceived, tosh. Had they actually waited instead of trying to film 2 and 3 together, they could of had a great film... Sadly, not to be.

The Village.

The most pointless film I've ever seen. The trailer tries to pass it off as some kind of horror/thriller, but it really isn't. The acting is very good, and the direction is okay, but the story is trivial, and the so-called twist is a hugely dissapointing anti-climax, even in the unlikely event that you don't see it coming.

And to think I liked all of Mr Shyamalans previous films.

Agree. I sat down to watch this movie expecting it to be okay, but it was utter bollocks. I demand those 2 hours of my life back.

Another over-hyped sucky movie was Titanic. If I saw this in a cinema I would have walked out after about half an hour.

LOTR for me too. Everyone I know loves them but they just left me feeling cold and detached throughout. By the end I was hoping they'd diverge from the books and make gollum push frodo in just for a bit of excitement.

Just to clarify, I don't think they are bad movies, just disappointing. Catwoman, on the otherhand, was the opposite, in a twisted way, because I knew it was going to be terrible so I wasn't expecting anything from it. I think the best way to describe it would be unintentionally hilarious.

Vanilla Sky was also disappointing. Luckily I didn't pay out for this one. As I walked out of black hawk down I saw a line of people going into the next screen and asked what it was for. Apparently the cinema was showing Vanilla sky for free for some reason so I just went and watched that too. Still, it had Jason Lee in it, so it can't be that bad.

I cant believe no one mentioned Joel "Shitmocker" Batman movies!

Batman Forever and Batman and Robin!

If you want to see a gay fetish film, then these two movies are right up your street .

However if you want to see a decent enough comic book film adaptation of Batman, then save your money and rent out Burtons version!

At least a macarbre/gothic Batman is better then neon lights and constant close-ups of Batman arse in every shot.

Isn't that weird - everyone I have spoken to (myself included) also worked it out in the first five minutes...Still, I rather liked it even if it wasn't the greatest movie ever made.

I have yet to find anyone who has actually thought that Spiderman 2 was anything better than 'Good'. Why is everyone giving '5 stars' in magazines and newspapers?

Oh...in response to the topic - Matrix sequels obviously ;)

I've walked out on a few movies, but "Batman & Robin" is the only movie I've seen where I actually felt like asking for my money back. Good spot Lala!
