I hike and walk a lot and have recently noticed that my legs are getting muscley and bulky, but I don't want that! I'm a woman and would like slim, toned legs.
I love walking but hate, hate, hate running, I get shin splints like you wouldn't believe!
Is there any other excercises that I could do to keep my legs from getting too bulky. (I have to keep walking/hiking because I'm training to climb a mountain.)

I am healthy and slim and eat well, but my legs are gaining a little too much muscle for my liking. I'm asking if there are any others exercises that will ton me up but not create huge muscles.
