To start-I'm white. So I know I'm not racially diverse. But, I am gay and from a small town (only 29 of us)in Illinois. I've moved several times in my life and have attended 13 schools. I am agnostic. My father is currently serving his third tour in Iraq. Am I diverse? I was wondering if when colleges said they wanted diversity, they meant from a purely racial standpoint. I think I've had an interesting, abnormal life and am diverse.
