and (i dunno if it matters) but i want to put in this cd deck

Just wondering, what'll i need like... my friend said i'd probably need an amplifier, and a better car batter...=/, but i kinda wanted a few other opinions.

If you have no amp to power the speakers or sub woofer, you won't get much sound from them. So yes, an amp and actually an EQ would both be needed. A new battery... depends on the battery you have. If you have the basic cheap car battery that is just enough to start your car. Then yes you will want a larger cold cranking amp battery. Otherwise if you sit for just a few minutes listening to tunes with the car off, you will make the battery dead.

Not to mention if you are doing speakers and subs. Don't forget the expense of better speaker wire over factory wires (monster cable). Don't forget the wire caps and clips. Don't forget the wire harness to use the new in dash unit while using the factory harness. If you want better sub sounds don't forget the baffling material to put in behind them. Plus you will need thick gauge wire for the ground and power for the amp as well. Plus you might need some resistors for smaller speakers or tweeters. Figure an easy $100 just in clips, harness, tape, etc.

What is the use of putting in better speakers if you don't do it right to begin with? Otherwise you might as well save your money as your sound won't increase in volume nor quality.

I HAVE THOSE FOUR BY SIXES IN MY FULL SIZE YOU WILL DEFINITELY NEED A BASS BLOCKER FOR THEM AND YOU DEFINITELY NEED AN AMPLIFIER FOR THE SUBS ALONG WITH A CROSSOVER TO MAKE SURE YOU DON'T GET ANYTHING ABOVE 100 HTZ TO THE SUBS. THEY DO MAKE A AMPLIFIER WITH BUILT IN CROSSOVER JUST FOR SUBS.
