What happened to movies that where talked about like

the new smokey and the bandit ?

Porkeys ?

the karate kid remake ?

i could go on and on,you hear they are being made then nothing ?????
 
They will probably get made eventually. Bear in mind that many films spend years in Development Hell with various studios, stars, writers and directors rumoured to be involved.

Remember when the new Superman movie was going to star Nic Cage, be directed by Tim Burton and scripted by Kevin Smith? Remember James Cameron's Spider-Man?
 
I heard Howard Stern is remaking Porky's, along with "Rock N Roll High School". And I thought he couldn't be any more of a tosser than he already is.
