What ever happened to the N93 IE edition?

Hi I remember reading here;http://www.slashphone.com/87/5956.html

and here: http://darlamack.blogs.com/darlamack/2006/11/3_nokia_nseries.html

about the N93 Internet Edition. Has anyone managed to get a hold of one and what is different besides the key?

Also does anyone know the product code? I just might be interested in turning mine into the Internet edition model.

I don't quite understand why anyone would care for the internet addition over the vanilla firmware of any phone? All you gain is some applications you could've downloaded separately anyway and lose functionality of the media key. What's the point? And particularly on the N93, what would be the difference besides the software anyway?

With a phone like the N73me I think it's a good choice if you DONT already have an N73. Black faceplate, 2gig card, and the FW work already done for you is nice but other than that it seems to be a waste....although the N70 looks the best in black IMO. I would splurge for that if I was a current N70 owner.

afaik there is no N93ie edition...they came out with one that has a 512 mb card along with a movie in there, is that the one u are talking about?

Well Actaully the N93 had two versions that came with a 512mb, a normal one (I have this one) and the Mission impossibel version.

The N93ie comes with extra apps installed, like what the N8IE is to the normal N80.

Here are some screenshots I managed to get:

But I haven't seen anyone mention this model and what the product code might be.

I'm not quite sure what all come with it, but I think that it has some kind of application to help you with Golfing also (like swings and point/handicap figuring), as I say though I'm not 100% sure what all the golfing app does.
