Ok.

So I send ALOT of emails / SMS.
I got the HTC TyTN. Supposedly excellent for this use.

alas, no

I _need_ a QWERTY keyboard at the front of the phone ..
None of that slide business.
And they keyboard gotta be superb for writing.
Not like that crappy P990 I had it was
Preferably memory card expansion possibilities.
65k colors or 16M I don't care, as long as it's bright and sharp.
Wifi? Not really.
3G? Not really.
Camera? Not really.
Size .. well, gotta fit in my pocket.
Price doesn't matter.

It is not a QWERTY keyboard. many say it takes time to get used to it. Some love it, other hate it. Has to be a matter of personal preference.

I assume you are GSM. A BB is a good solution, made for email. Cingular Blackjack perhaps, or the 8525. All have QWERTY keyboards. The 8525 is a PPC with WiFi.

8525 is out as it has a sliding keyboard, which he doesn't want. The blackjack is decent for e-mail, though it has trouble keeping up with what is being typed. Have you considered the Treo 750?

Doesn't seem to be available in Europe? Specs and design seems to be quite good tho. If it's possible to upgrade it with new language software, importing it might be one solution I suppose

Try the Nokia E61 (that maybe the wrong model number, it is sold in the US as E62) that has no camera, Keyboard on the front, and tons of support for Nokia S60 phones in Europe. Another good option is the HTC s620.

I'm not sure about that keyboard .. and there are no dealers for BB in Norway .. so I won't get the nordic letters like ??? and no warranty, since I have to import it .. but I guess I could live without warranty .. but those letters .. well

My name is ?ystein .. so

The Cingular / TyTN / T-Mobile dash etc run Windows Mobile, and I think it would be possible to upgrade them.

"Sure loved the TyTn, but the one-handedness of the treo keyboard is just too nice." - mike21mike21

"On full brightness the 750 screen looks hands down better than any PPC I've ever used!" - DarkJedi

"The Treo just feels so good in the hands and oozes with quality. Palm's "special sauce" is just the medicine ordered to make this the best PE device out there for phone functionality." - JNGold

"I'll keep my TyTN for backup, but the Treo is my personal favorite. True one handed operation is critical to me." - TAR HEEL

"Its been mentioned a zillion times over that the Treo is byfar the best one handed device there is and i have to agree. The TyTn can be me made more one-handed with certain tweaks but still does not do as well as the 750 does straight outta the box." - futuredoc

"let's say you DON'T have a phone number. Try searching for a store/restaurant in your area using google with one hand on the 8525. Possible? Sure. Easy and efficient? Nope. You don't need to lose an arm to have only one hand available at a given point in time." - importluva

Seems "everyone" that had the TyTN switched over to the Treo 750.
Sounds just like what I've been looking for.

Thanks for the input anyways =D
