My sister recieved a fish for her birthday of one of her friends who forgot to get food and the shops are closed so we have no food for it? would feeding it bread be ok just for one day?

No just dont feed it for a day. A healthy betta (kept in a 5+ gallon heated and filtered aquarium) should be fine for a week without food.

No way, those types of fish can't eat bread. The betta can go without food for 4 days. Do not ever feed fish with bread unless you know they can eat them. Just don't feed it for a day, they will be ok with it! Hope it helped!

FYI, bettas are no where near budgies and they do not eat bread.
Dont feed him nothing until you find the proper food.
If it is impossible my guppies love cucumber, lettuce, spinach and peas.
Im not sure bout your betta.
