I think there are a lot of evidences of mixed cultures in the U.S.. Lately, for example, sushi has been becoming a popular food. This wasn't true just a few years ago, and it's evidence of Japanese culture mixing with American culture. Even more interesting, a lot of American sushi recipes have both Japanese and Mexican influences; a lot of sushi recipes incorporate avocado, for example, which is something that came about when Japanese and Mexican chefs in California started contributing to each other's recipes.
