Unit Supply Specialist? I am prior service Army and my MOS was 92Y Unit Supply Specialist. I am thinking about going back in and retaining the same MOS. I want to get stationed in Fort Hamilton which is in Brooklyn, New York but I know that's not likely. How can I find out where I will most likely be stationed?
Thanks =)

MORE INFO:
Sorry I should have said that ...I have been speaking with a recruiter and they told me that they are accepting people with my original MOS right now. He told me that it would be hard for me to get another MOS beside the one I had previously had.

Prior service cant enlist until the next fiscal year starts. As you know its coming down to needs of the Army so there is no telling where you maybe stationed. 92Y's are needed at every Army post around the world.

The good, and bad thing, about being a 92Y is that MOS is needed EVERYWHERE and can be assigned to any type of unit. The likelyhood of you getting the duty station that you want is up to your "wish list" having that base as an option and that base needing a 92Y at your level.

Also, are you thinking active duty or reserve, or national guard. If you are from NY your chances of staying in the Brooklyn area would be higher if you go reserve/national guard.

If you just want to stay in NY then you can ask for Fort Drum, NY which is northern NY (more like southern Canada). I was stationed there for over 3 years and the city is only a 5 hour drive away. Your likeliness of getting Ft Drum would be high bc it is the most deployed unit in the world. Which is another thing youhave to consider. But, everyone joining after 911 knows their chances of deploying are higher if they join ANY service.

I hope this info helped
